Adapted from Max Porter’s bestselling book Shy, the movie follows a pivotal day in the life of headteacher Steve (Cillian Murphy) and his students at a last-chance reform college as they fight to stop its impending closure.
As Steve grapples with his own mental health, the movie also follows troubled teen Shy (Jay Lycurgo) who is caught between his past and his future as he reckons with his impulse for self-destruction and violence.
